Core Statement

Magictopia Festa is an original OC and worldbuilding project. The worldbuilding, characters, text, images, music, and related materials belong to the project team. Official materials may not be reused directly without permission.

Quick Check

Fanworks are welcome

Fan art, writing, models, music, games, and similar works based on existing characters, regions, species, and settings are allowed within reasonable limits.

Credit the project

When publishing publicly, state that the work is based on Magictopia Festa and avoid presenting it as official content.

Do not reuse official assets

Do not use official images, text, or music directly for products, and do not publish cutouts, background removals, split assets, or similar extracted materials.

Allowed Scope

Online Works

• Fan art and fan writing
• Online fan shop consignment
• Personally permitted online events and sales
• Personal Live2D or 3D model production
• Fan music downloads and sales
• Original fan game downloads and sales
• Independent game sites and similar publishing formats

Offline Events

• Doujinshi sales events
• Physical fan shop consignment
• Private product sales, limited to packaged products
• Paid events held as part of a group activity

Setting Expansion

You may create derivative works, small setting adjustments, or supplemental lore based on the project worldview and existing characters, regions, and species, as long as the changes remain reasonable.

Before Publishing

1. Confirm the work type. It is a fanwork or derivative work, not official content.
2. Check material sources. Do not directly use official images, text, music, or extracted asset parts.
3. Add attribution. When posting publicly, state that the work is based on Magictopia Festa.
4. Review commercial use. Personal commercial use and non-profit commercial use are generally allowed. Non-personal commercial use requires separate permission.

Prohibited Uses

The following are not allowed

• Directly using official Magictopia Festa resources, such as making products with official images or copying large sections of official text.
• Heavily rewriting foundational settings, such as changing established city names or character names.
• Creating content that harms the project’s image or infringes, or may infringe, the rights of others.
• Publishing content that may be mistaken for official material.
• Using or publishing extracted official content, including background removals, cutouts, or split assets.
• Using original or derivative works to spread personal viewpoints.
• Reusing derivative works without the original creator’s permission.
• Creating content that violates public order or common decency, involves political sensitivity, heavy gore or violence, or spreads negative information for opinion manipulation.
• Other behavior considered extremely inappropriate by social standards, such as excessive sexual expression or defamation of specific individuals, groups, or races.

Commercial Use

Allowed commercial use

Personal commercial use and non-profit commercial use of fanworks and derivative works are allowed. Fan videos may use paid viewing or monetization. Apps may include ads and paid ad removal, but these monetization features must not be tied to Magictopia Festa content.

Permission required

Paid subscription works and products are prohibited. Crowdfunding centered on project-derived content is generally not allowed. For crowdfunding, non-personal commercial use, derivative products, or fan activities, contact the project team and obtain permission separately.
